Meet Our Staff
Claire Lineberger, DVM
Dr. Lineberger is originally from Winston-Salem, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health in Nutrition and a minor in Chemistry. She then completed veterinary school at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2022. Her areas of interest include surgery, animal nutrition, and behavior modification. She also finds joy in partnering with and getting to know clients and their pets.
In her spare time, “Dr. Claire” enjoys crafting, reading, working out, cooking, listening to true crime podcasts, hosting game nights, traveling and spending time with her partner, Aaron. She has three rescue dogs (Theodore, Tucker, and Eleanor) and just added a new feline member to the family (Dale).
Bernadette Rivet, DVM
Dr. Bernadette Rivet received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota, and received her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Edinburgh at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, in Scotland. From the United Kingdom, she moved back to her native France and practiced veterinary medicine near Dijon for four years, before moving back to Minnesota and practicing a combination of general practice and emergency medicine.
Dr. Rivet’s interests lie in veterinary surgery & animal welfare, so she enjoys volunteering her time for various spay/neuter clinics. Dr. Rivet moved from MN to NC in June of 2024 with her two cats Nyx & Nero. In her free time she enjoys biking, training her cats to perform tricks, pursuing creative outlets, cooking, gardening and horse riding when she gets the chance.
Elizabeth Tucker, DVM

Dr. Tucker is originally from Tuscaloosa, AL. She earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Rhodes College in 2021 then trekked to the desert to receive her DVM degree from the University Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine this August 2024. She is thrilled to be re-joining the wonderful team at Benvenue Animal Hospital after completing an externship with them during her clinical year. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and end-of-life care. She is passionate about providing a low-stress environment for her patients and a collaborative space for her clients.
In her free time, Dr. Tucker enjoys spending time with friends, practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu, and rock climbing. She is excited to get out and about around the Triangle by going to concerts, hiking, and checking out the local coffee shops and bookstores.
Lyndsi, Practice Manager
Lyndsi started with Vets Pets in 2017 after graduating from Martin Community College with a degree in Equine Technology. She became a member of the Benvenue team in November 2020 as a receptionist. She also has a background in grooming and graduated from the grooming academy in 2015. When Lyndsi is not at work, she is spending time with her 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a snake, Gatsby, Luci, Reesi, Sanji, Perci, Thai, and Juanita.
Lucero, Veterinary Assistant
Born and raised in North Carolina, Lucero has always had a deep connection with animals. After earning her Associate Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology from Nash Community College in 2021, she joined the veterinary field with a passion for client education and building strong bonds with both patients and their families. Lucero loves spending quality time with her furry companions—Elsie and Lilly (her beloved dogs), Pikachu and Benito (her playful cats), and Moco, her Green-cheeked Conure. Outside of work, Lucero enjoys watching movies, hanging out with friends and family, and sharing special moments with her partner, Carlos. She is dedicated to making every pet’s visit a positive and caring experience.
MacKenna, Veterinary Assistant
MacKenna grew up right here in North Carolina, cultivating a love for animals that led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Nash Community College Vet Tech Program in May 2024, where she honed her skills and developed a passion for animal care.
Professionally, MacKenna is driven by her commitment to helping and caring for all the wonderful animals she encounters. Her favorite part of the job is being able to make a difference in their lives, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
When she’s not at work, MacKenna enjoys unwinding by watching TV and snuggling up with her cat, Pepper. For her, there’s nothing better than spending quality time with her feline friend after a fulfilling day at the clinic.
Shay, Veterinary Assistant
Shay joined the Benvenue team in 2021 as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. She has a deep love of animals and has loved getting to care for them as a career.
In her free time, you can find her spending time with her family and her six dogs, Bear, Cody, Giovanni, Nevaeh, Serenity, and Zayden , and her cat, Chloe Bear.
Billie Jo, Receptionist
Billie Jo joined the Benvenue Animal Hospital in December 2023 as a
receptionist. Before joining our team, Billie Jo was a veterinary assistant,
which she has been doing since 1994. She loves working with the clients and
their furbabies. Billie Jo lives with her husband, two cats (Titan and Chloe) and
three dogs (Frances, Lena, and Lottie) When she is not working you will
find her spending time with her husband, family and friends. She is involved
with her church and doing mission work to help others.
