Dr. NoeCheryl Noe, DVM

Dr. Cheryl Cheves Noe is a native of Franklin County where she still lives on her family’s sheep farm. She attended North Carolina State University, graduating in 1992 with a B.S. in Animal Science and in 1998 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Since graduation, she has worked in several animal hospitals in the Wake, Franklin, Wilson, and Nash County area. She is married to Thad, her husband of 25 years; they have 2 sons, Ted and Jacob. Also in the Noe household are 4 cats – Stanley, Mariah, Kevin, and Bob. Dr. Noe works closely with the children and youth ministry at her church and, in her “free time”, she enjoys cooking, baking, dining at food trucks and other interesting restaurants, and listening to audiobooks. She also makes an annual trip to North Africa to volunteer with a veterinary project that helps nomadic herdsmen care for their livestock. Her professional interests include educating pet parents, internal medicine and animal behavior.

Amanda, RVTAmanda, RVT

Amanda is our Registered Veterinary Technician and has more than 10 years’ experience in the veterinary medical field.  After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Sweet Briar College, she spent 5 years as a veterinary assistant at a small animal private practice in the area where she grew up in Richmond, VA. Amanda got accepted into the Veterinary Technology program at Blue Ridge Community College and graduated with an AAS degree in veterinary technology in 2014 after passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam. While in school, she worked at a small animal 24 hour critical care/referral practice in Richmond. In early 2015, she moved to Wilson, NC and joined the Benvenue Animal Hospital Team. She enjoys aspects of both day practice and emergency, but is proud to be part of a growing practice. In her spare time, she and her husband, Doug enjoy swimming, surfing, reading and spending time with their furry children Sal and Cora. She is excited about growing long-term, trustworthy relationships with clients and their furry family members at Benvenue Animal Hospital!

Ashley, Vet AssistantAshley, Veterinary Assistant

Ashley started her employment as a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist with Benvenue Animal Hospital in June of 2014. She enjoys interacting with clients and their pets. Her job includes assisting the doctor and technician with appointments and surgeries. Ashley also enjoys taking care of any medical or cat boarding patients and helping the receptionist when needed. Ashley has completed three veterinary assistant courses and is currently furthering her education at Nash Community College. Ashley loves spending time with her furry babies, Daisy and Jaxx. When she is not at home with her dogs, Ashley enjoys swimming, going to the dog park, reading, painting and spending time with her family.

Jennifer, Vet AssistantJennifer, Veterinary Assistant

Jennifer joined the Benvenue family in November 2017 as a veterinary assistant. Originally from Buffalo, NY, she has an undergraduate degree in web design. In 2014, she decided to follow her passion for animals of all kinds by transitioning into veterinary medicine. She has several years of experience as a veterinary assistant and is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technology Program, working towards obtaining her vet tech degree. In addition to becoming a registered vet tech, she would like to pursue obtaining her grooming certificate in the future. Some of her responsibilities include assisting the doctor with appointments, surgeries, performing dental cleanings, preparing lab samples, hospitalized patient care, and client education. She has a special interest in dental care including teeth cleanings and radiology.

Jennifer loves spending quality time with her fur babies; Juniper, Landon, in addition to her two ferrets, Lil Bit and Emma. When she isn’t working hard or relaxing at home, she enjoys spending time outside hiking, taking her dogs to the dog park, photography, reading, painting, and spending time with friends.

Tabitha, ReceptionistTabitha, Receptionist

Tabitha, our hard-working receptionist, has had a passion for working with animals and helping their owners since she was little. She originally joined Vets Pets at one of our sister hospitals in Knightdale in June of 2017. A few months later, she transferred to Benvenue and we were happy to welcome her to our family! She also helps out at our sister boarding facility, WAGS East. Tabitha lives in Rocky Mount with her large family consisting of her fiancé Donnie, 4 kids, 4 dogs, two cats and a turtle. She loves spending her free time with her family and fur babies. They help define who she is and her life would be empty without them!
